Exp 3 Final Submission Post!

OuOut of xsdf

My concepts for this facebook headquarters rest primarily on a central theme - Strength in numbers.
The company of Facebook owes it's tremendous power to this fact. Without the 500 million users it would have just cease to exist let alone hold any power. I chose these two shots because I find the video has enough detail to express the structural concepts so these two pictures were a chance to express the balance and elegance evident.

Take 2 Interactive
Take 2 is an interesting company, to gain power they need to constantly be innovative
and creative. This creativity is harnessed and with the use of futuristic technology converted to
a product - which in turn reaps rewards and elevates the company. It was these idea's of futuristic technology and creative thinking that I tried to encompass in the concepts for this headquarters. Again the pictures I chose were because of their elegance as opposed to functionality which is conveyed through the video.
I chose this spot for the meeting place because although technically it is in the "valley"
between the bridges the height of the place itself gives it a natural power which contrasts directly with the man-made forms found in both of these companies.
(It is hard to tell in the video's but the table top rotates with multiple screens each display some various form of news/information)
Sketch Perspectives.
For these perspectives I took a range of my favorite and most
dynamic two point and one point perspectives.

First Movement in Crysis

My first attempt at an elevator in Cryengine, a combination of both staircase and elevator. I quite enjoy the logical thinking behind creating these flowgraphs.
(Having a little trouble with fraps in Cryengine, will work on it!)

Here is my flowgraph for the movement of the staircase.

The Three Sisters

After doing some research on both Scottish and Australian landscape I have settled on using the blue mountains as my environment for the third experiment. Specifically the stone-forms known as the three sisters.

Here are some screen shots from my first attempt at modeling this mountainous landscape in Cryengine.
